about me

Josh Concepcion is a 24-year-old native of San Diego, CA. He is a recent graduate from UCLA with a degree in Theater. Currently he is a law student at UC Davis School of Law.

His work is heavily rooted in contemporary realism and focuses on telling stories that explore themes of navigating the unknown, the hyperbolic rise and fall of relationships in an era of social media, and the mysteries within us that influence our internal perception of the world around us.

He started his first major project, To Be Alive, a musical, when he was in high school at Coronado School of the Arts. Fast forward three years later, it premiered mainstage at San Diego State University.

His latest stage-play, One Second, One Minute, premiered with Color Box Production Company at UCLA in 2021.

Writing scripts isn’t his only passion however, he’s an avid songwriter and photographer as well. His EP, Suburban Vertigo, as well as records Manchester and Voyager amassed thousands of streams since 2019. Most recently in 2021, he released his first full-length album, COLOR WHEEL, which has been streamed over 50,000 times across 100+ countries across the world.

In 2019, with his friend Adam Robinson, they founded their own clothing brand, Midnight Eleven.
